Consultation Groups
Learn to Implement
Group Dynamics

How it works:
I
-
We practice observing how we are influenced by the environment; we experience how we change when the situation changes. We note details about how we can influence the environment, taking steps towards our satisfaction while offering that potential to others.
II
-
We pay attention to key moments that wake us up to the live process of right here and right now. We note triggers (external and internal) and their impact on ourselves and others. We establish shared reality, getting curious to separate our accurate perceptions from our distorted projections.
III
-
We restore what is rightfully given at birth—our life energy (curiosity and desire) and the universal emotions: joy, anger, sadness, surprise, disgust, fear, and hurt. We learn to make distinct our SIGNAL (life energy and emotions) from our NOISE (protective and habitual defenses).
IV
-
By expressing how we “get” another member’s sharing, we settle all of our nervous systems. We find this happens when we “get” another and when another “gets” us.

What You’ll Learn
We learn when we are residing in our a) centered and potentially satisfying self, or in our b) habitual, protective, and unsatisfying self. Applying frames to guide the exploration, our goal is to undo the habitual defenses, freeing ourselves to make use of our emotional intelligence. We then can choose to have our voice, contribute to the whole, and find satisfaction in our growth as we make steps towards transforming the whole.
How This Exploration Helps
No matter where we go, we bring ourselves. Depending upon the environment, we identify reasonable goals, choosing actions that move us towards those goals. Unwittingly, we get stuck in painful states where we lose our common sense, curiosity, and sense of agency. We can learn a practice to get back on track. We enjoy not only the practice but our ability to “see truth” (accurate perception rather than projection). We can then more ably face the inevitable challenges of life.
